Cute boys make me nervous

I read a lot of useless (but entertaining) blogs. Cute Boys Make Me Nervous is high up there on the scale of uselessness -- right next to Cake Wrecks. It's basically about what you think it's about. People submit pictures of cute boys along with the accompanying cute boy encounter story.

So far this year, I have no legitimate cute boy encounters. Unless you count encounters in my sleep and TV Land. Sad, but true:

Bill the Vampire.

Sucker I am, for blood suckers. Speaking of sucker...I am a sucker for indie acoustic covers of hip hop songs. I dig the irony:

Don't you hate it when..

... your mom beats you to the haircut you were emotionally planning on for months?

In other news, I spent the chief of this afternoon perusing used trashy romance novels at the library while waiting for a client. I have no shame. (Or boyfriend.) Instead, I checked out "Chemistry for Dummies." And, by chemistry, I don't mean the romantic kind. I mean the laboratory, periodic table with no chairs kind.

This evening it was my parents' turn to host the rosary + bbq evening. I had my first beer in a week since Texas and I kind of regret it because I'm feeling loopy and not in the mood to get anything done. Did I mention I just had one beer?

You can't handle this.

you still live on

image via Bleach Black.

If you got money in the bank, jacket is by Philip Lim, leggings by Les Chiffoneris, shoes by Repetto, skirt by Balmain and gloves by Alexander McQueen. I already have the shoes --I'm on a mission for cheaper alternatives. Long live, MJ!

Not even 24 hours since he's passed.

Regardless of what has happened to Michael Jackson in the last segment of his life, regardless of how you feel about him, I think he deserves more respect than this.

R.I.P. MJ. You may be gone, but you'll live on forever.

toobin'

(Not smoking, not in an opium den. Obviously at Zeke's!)

Just a few days ago, I was floating on an inner tube down the Guadalupe River, beer in hand, friends in tow. (Or, float I should say.) Today, I spent most of my time memorizing important periodic table elements and making chemical conversions. None of which involved any beer. If this ain't post-vacation blues, I don't know what is.

I miss you.

That's right.

I'm not from Texas, but Texas wants me anyway.

Such a shame that I'm back home. I'm super tired. Look forward to recapping my adventures in the Lone Star state. When I'm not tired, of course.

Ain't no party in a sad, sad city.

One of the best things to happen to my dad ever since we got a satellite is Fuse TV. Since MTV hardly plays music, he depends on Fuse TV to discover new artists. I don't think this is an attempt to grow closer to my brother and I -- he just really appreciates live music.

Dad: JINRAH YOU KNOW GHOSTS OB SALBATORAY? LA LA LA NO PARTY IN SAD SAD CITY!! YOU KNOW DAT ONE?

Me: Ghosts of Salvatore? Are they an Italian band? Really into Ferragamo?

Dad: YES!!! GHOSTS OB SALBATORAY! DAT ONE! YOUCHOOB DEM, MAYBE YOU LIKE DER MUSIC!

Youchoob I did.. only to discover that the band is not Ghosts of Salvatore, but Ghostland Observatory! The song in question is "Sad Sad City" and it happens to be pretty good:

Not bad, dad.

Fail.

And so my dreams of being e-famous on One Post Wonder perish. Gosh darn Philippine fashion blogs compelling me to recklessly publish a second blog post! Two-Post wonders aren't nearly as cool as one-post wonders!

Dreams and aspirations aside, I think Daryl Chang (pictured on right) is wearing the outfit of my dreams. All the way down to the Ann Demuelemeester boots.

One Post Wonder

This is supposed to be the first "Test, test, is this working?" blog post, but I've decided against that. Instead, I'm currently aspiring to become e-famous on One Post Wonder -- a blog that immortalizes blogs that never made it past the first post.

Let's see how long I last.
